| The
new POSI-LOC wheel brake from Jarvis is a simple,
functional design with superior braking power. Created
specifically for use with our 30 and 40 series
institutional casters, POSI-LOC sets the standard for
performance, appearance, and long-lasting quality in
wheel brakes.
No
other wheel brake that holds this well is also so simple
to engage and disengage. A touch of your toe is all it
takes:TOUCH ON- YOU'RE
LOCKED; TOUCH OFF- YOU'RE ROLLING.Since
a downward motion engages and disengages the
brake, there is ample foot clearance to prevent shoe
scuffing. And POSI-LOC won't accidentally disengage.
Jarvis institutional POSI-LOC wheel brakes are
designed with tough, long-lasting stainless steel
construction, so they're stronger than the all-plastic
wheel locks.
The top-gripping stainless steel spring pressure plate
locks across the wheel for more braking power
than side-mounted friction pads. As a result, POSI-LOC
brakes can be used on a wide variety of Jarvis wheel
materials. The flex action provided by the stainless
steel pressure plate allows consistent braking for rubber,
polyurethane, polyolefin, and even hard materials such
as phenolic.

Posi-Loc
medium duty industrial series casters are designed from heavy
gague plated steel with a specially designed hardened pressure
pad to allow consistent braking of industrial wheels.
The industrial models have been designed with a larger brake
lever and position lower on the caster for easy foot
clearance. Especially, on channeled equipment.

For
both new installations and retrofitting, Jarvis POSI-LOC wheel
brakes use the regular axle bolt and nut hardware. They're
easy to retrofit onto Jarvis casters already in service. Just
remove the nut, slide out the axle, slip on POSI-LOC, then
replace the axle and nut. That's all there is to it.
