Poly-Loc Medium Duty Wheels are precision molded polyurethane tread mechanically locked to a polyolefin core, making this wheel virtually indestructible. These wheels are equipped with our patented single spindle, double row, ball bearings that feature end caps to match the polyurethane tread. Standard colors are dark grey or dark blue on lighter grey hubs.

To find out just how tough polyurethane tread is, we conducted a head-to-head test against rubber. In a one year study, we equipped a shopping cart with both rubber and polyurethane wheels. Inside and outside, winter and summer, both wheel designs were subjected to the same rigorous conditions. After a year, the rubber wheel had uneven wear and 3/8" of tread loss, but the polyurethane wheel had no measurable wear at all (to the nearest .O1").

Jarvis engineers specified a thicker, "honeycomb" reinforced hub for Poly-Loc Wheels. High-density polyethylene prevents hub failure in high stress areas around the bearing, assuring reliable performance under demanding conditions.
