More than half a century ago George Shepherd perfected his
first ball caster. Today, that original caster is still in production at Shepherd Casters,
along with many new and innovative caster designs. Since 1945, the Shepherd name has stood
for high quality materials, engineering integrity, rigorous product testing, and
outstanding product performance - key factors in maintaining Shepherd's position as a
leader in the caster manufacturing industry.
Customer expectations and requirements are met through the combined success of Shepherd's teamwork philosophy, responsible
manufacturing methods and sound quality assurance principles, including a strong
commitment to excellence in design and manufacture.
Shepherd Caster Corporation is based in St. Joseph, Michigan. The 110,000 square foot
facility houses administrative offices, metal forming facilities - including zinc die
casting, steel stamping and cold heading - and automated final assembly. |
